hey guys, our cny reunion is tmr! :D so,
for those that are coming to buy stuff after school, please meet outside library after the school celebrations at 12.15pm. We'll then go to like NTUC and/or Sheng Siong etc. near Bedok MRT, then when we're done shopping we'll go straight to eliss' condo.

for those that are going home first, please come punctually at 4.30pm to help set up the steamboat stuff in the function room!

and if you're coming after cca, just try to come as early as possible.

Please bring $8-10 to pay for the food and stuff,

You can wear anything you want, but class tee's best!,

bring your cameras too!

ok so our venue for the reunion is finalised! but first, i thought i'd post the results of the survey.

So as you can see, there isn't really a distinct winner, but because 1) most people still chose the function room and 2) no one put function room as least favourite, so the function room it is! And (as you all probably know anyway), elis's function room is not booked, so we can have our reunion there! :D

ok, so now the details.
VENUE- ELISS'S FUNCTION ROOM.
WHAT- REUNION! STEAMBOAT, GAMES (MAYBE) YUSHENG ETC.
TIME- 12PM TO AFTER DINNER? okay here's the thing, since we can only use the function room from 5pm onwards, we can either 1) go out somewhere together after dismissal or 2) go home first and then meet again. which do you all want? leave comments in the chatbox! :D either way though we'll be @ the function room at 4.30 to start setting up stuff.

Hey Astra!
thought i'd post updates here to revive this blog.

So. You all should have seen that letter about the CNY dismissal times thingy right? turns out we do have a half-day (even better than that in fact) so we could have had the reunion on that day -.- oh well, anyway, since we are dismissed @12 noon, so here's the plan: EDIT: CLARIFICATION- ITS ON 7/2 (MON),NOT 2/2! sry for the confusion >.<

12 nn: Dismissal

12.15pm: Meet together at some place (foyer or smth?)

12.20: Go off for lunch, at macs or smth like that.

1.20: Finish lunch, and head off to reunion point.

So at this point there are 2 main possibilities:

1) Reunion at eliss's condo's function room. So we go there after lunch, play games, talk, chat, etcetc., then at about 5pm we can start (preparing?) the food? Uh, like yusheng and steamboat etc. Note: It's not confirmed yet as we don't know if eliss' condo function room is available or not.

2) Picnic @ Marina Barrage. So basically we go to Marina Barrage, and have a picnic lunch there (so we dun eat so much b4 that lol). Then we can play games, and fly kites like michelle suggested (xD), then go to the restaurant Suli suggested for dinner.

Ok, so that's about it for now...will update again when more info's available.

P.S. i need ppl to help to organise! LOL. pls leh.

P.S.S. anyone has steamboat pots or similar? cause we need it if we're gonna have the reunion at the function room.

Hello people ;)

Michelle says 10.30am outside school library, check your phones and dhsmail (btw it's the June 11 one, 'Class Gathering')/classblog/classfb.

Have a full breakfast,

wear black class tee (any bottoms/SANDALS - NOT COVERED) and bring white class tee, bottoms, underwear (unless you go commando), slippers (in case of stinky wet shoes) and towel along,

bring $10 (must) for paying for the pizza food etc,

raincoats and umbrellas (raincoats are better since we're playing games, and I shall bring ponchos to sell for $1 so if you dont bring you can gimme some money! :D),

and also your angel's gift,

naturally, bring your camera (if you want larh), but take care of it yourself because it's most likely raining tmr (says the weather forecast and today's bad weather).

Also, weather says you dont really have to apply sunblock, but it's up to you, check the weather before you head out ;)

You will so need insect repellent because mosquitoes love the rain and there are sure to be stinking sandflies.

And um, bring water (lots of it, unless you're willing to drink water from the beach we just cleaned), and bring a pen.

Where: East Coast Park, Kallang Leisure Park, DHS (Around these areas.) There will be NO GAMES PLAYED NEAR THE SEA (if any parents are asking), but if you all want to go there during free time, you’re free to do so AT YOUR OWN CAUTION (because of what happened last time).
Why: Bonding. Plus great lunch. Plus great stuff to take back. Plus manymany photos.
Lunch would be pizza from canadianpizza (2 for 1 :D). We would buy a vegetarian pan pizza for kimberly. :)

Stuff to bring:
-$10 BUCKS.
-Sun block.
-Insect repellant.
-Water bottle.
-Raincoat/ umbrella. You SHOULD bring raincoat. It's better. SERIOUSLY. We experienced the big big rain today. It was hell. X( And, it will most probably rain tomorrow. So yeap.

Seriously, doesnt anyone cares what color the class tee is going to be? It's like the last year we're going to make class tee together and it'll be the tee we probably wear to outings next time leh.

Sooooooo if you havent checked Dhsmail,

Blue shades (omg band song leh):
Dark blue/ navy/ whatever you want to call it COLOR / COLOR
Light blue/ sky blue/ you get my point COLOR / COLOR (these arent really very light/sky blue-ish D:) but i hope y'all know the level camp tee colors include light blue :)

Stella is back from USA(according to karmy whom stella texted to) but she wont be attending sch for the whole week so dont worry. =)

Things you have to bring:

1. Report book(signed)
2. Travel declaration form
3.Thermometer
4. Your LA essays
5. LA materials(eg. animal farm book or notes or whatever)
6. ACC stuff
7. RS draft 1
8. Your own belongings.

Remember to hand up your geog handout(completed) on Tuesday to Yu gin and stated on the mail sent to us by Ms Ng.

So far as I know, some ccas have been suspended(eg. softball, track and field) so please take this opportunity to mug hard for any upcoming test (eg. chinese idioms spelling test./linear graph test on T3 W3).

Latest announcements and changes to T3 W1

Hello astrarians. Please take note of the following announcements/changes.

1.Attend to school on Monday, 29 June, at 8am instead of 2pm. It is also NOT the usual time 9am either.

2.Please bring your ODTs and travel declaration form that you are supposed to print out from your DHS mail on the first day of school.

3.Report to 1Astra classroom, instead of the parade square when you arrive school.

4.You can only enter via the Tanjong Rhu Gate, even when you are walking. The Kampong Arang gate will be closed.

5. Please do not attend school if you are only back from overseas after 22 june (eg. Stella wont be coming). The affected countries are those considered by the WHO as having community spread and/or known to have exported cases and countries are(as of 23jun): Argentina, USA, UK, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Canada, Chile,Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Spain.

6.Since there will be lessons conducted on Monday, please note that LA essays are due on Monday and please bring it. Initially, it has been noted that LA essays are only needed to be handed up on tuesday due to the AYG celebration, but now with the changes, please note that Monday is the deadline for the essays. Late submission will be penalised.

Hello astrians. =)

Just to inform you that we will be returing to school on next monday, 29 June, 2pm-7.30pm for the AYG torch relay and cca achievement celebration.

So, in other words, there is NO extension of holiday even with 168 cases of H1N1 with community spread.

So there is no point asking people to vote at the channelnewsasia website.

Just blame the health minister.

So better finish up your hwk before tuesday. =)

P.S. karmy told me that stella told her on msn that she will be back on friday night, which means stella wont be in school for T3 W1. So people dont worry =) Just worry about your hwk load and the upcoming chinese spelling test. =)
